On April 4th, 2024, SpaceX marked a significant milestone in Booster 11's testing campaign with the rollout of Booster 11 to the Orbital Launch Pad. The teams then verified the integrity of the Booster Quick Disconnect. Additionally, final checks were conducted on the Mechazilla catching arms.
Two days later, on April 6th, SpaceX initiated the highly anticipated static fire test of Booster 11. This test served as a crucial validation of the booster's functionality under launch conditions. The Starship Deluge System activated, then all 33 Raptor engines ignited, generating a demonstration of thrust generated by the simultaneous ignition of all 33 Raptor engines.
Today's successful static fire marks a significant milestone for Starship Flight 4. With critical systems validated, this marks a big step in the potential May launch Elon Musk has Teased.
